Happy New Year

Happy new year!

2008 was a great year because of your friendship and partnership with us. We managed to serve God and his people because you stood with us. Thanks for your faithfulness to listen to God and to obey his voice through out 2008. We had many challenges; but it was in these challenges that we saw God at work. Just as Paul says in 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

"... A thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

The success we have had are only by God; the church has grown to between 400-450 people, our family has weathered the storms, the camps were very good...but in the same year we lost many of those we love; even on the 25th of December 2008, Lillian's grandma passed away, on the 1ST Jan 2008, our Muslim land lord served us with a notice to live his house just after 4 months but in all this may God be glorified.

In 2009, it is our prayer that God by his grace and mercy may help you experience his love, protection, provision, guidance...and hope. May He go before you always. May He bless you, enlarge your territory, be with you and keep you from evil and pain. You will see God break the walls and barriers that have closed you in for years. He will give you a new name that will make you forget your passed. Jabez prayed a short but serious prayer in 1 Chron 4:9-10

"Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, "I gave birth to him in pain." Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request."

There are 4 things that Jabez asked from God;

1. God to bless him.

2. God to enlarge his territory.

3. God's presence in his life

4. God to keep him from evil and pain.

God granted all his requests. Please take some time this year and talk to God about what you would like to happen in your life, family, church, ministry, country...

We will send some pictures later-the Internet is very slow now.

God bless you!!
